Crafter Bio
Darby D.Â
I am a local medically retired vet and started doing more crafts to keep myself sane on this medical journey. I started dappling in the world of oils and homemade products in January 2019 to aid in my own life when challenged with hair loss from medical treatments and chronic pain from joint instability. Surrounded by a natural world that creates wonderful remedies, I wanted to find things that might be helpful to fill the voids left by modern medicine. In November 2020, I discovered goldsmithing and have since been learning different methods of jewelry crafting, including my favorite pieces in categories of historical revival, enameling, and filigree.
As life is a journey, these trade crafts will continue to be a point of growth for me, and I appreciate your support for my work which for now feels at its infancy. As I improve, I will offer an expanding supply of products ranging from home-blended oils to hand-forged pendants. Where able, I source my materials from Texas and the United States. Though each item I make has a story, it can be difficult to fit on the label. I will prioritize making every effort to include all ingredients or materials used in each piece so that you can have an honest understanding of what you are purchasing.
I deeply appreciate your support of my small business and the opportunities it will give me to grow.
